Awareness and Usage of Online Databases at Central University Library of PU: A Case Study

This study discovers the amount of interest in using of online databases by the faculty and post graduate (PG) students and Consummation level of online databases in the Presidency University Library. A well-framed questionnaire has prepared and shared to faculty and the PG students to carry out the study and analyses the data regarding the awareness and use of online databases. The study reveals that the most of them are well aware of the online databases and mostly use them for their research work and to update their subject knowledge. It is also found that the main problem is Presidency University has to subscribe more and relevant databases.
